med-legal updates Feb 10, 2022

The DWC posted proposed changes to the QME regulations today and CSIMS is continuing the conversation on our Messaging Boards...Join the conversation

In summary the proposed changes would extend the time frame to schedule a medical-legal evaluation by 30 days for both initial and subsequent evaluations- Which would allow parties to agree to allow a QME or QME or to reschedule an evaluation more than 60 days after the date of cancellation.  There are also other changes that address remote health evaluations such as identification of office location when a remote health evaluation is conducted and providing a definition of remote health evaluations.

The DWC is accepting comments on the proposed rules no later than 5pm PST Feb. 25.
